No. 1471: St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church
Postcard #1471

The corner-stone was laid in August 1873, and the upper church was dedicated on February 18, 1884. In 1891, the grand square tower, visible for many miles around, was completed, with the addition of the beautiful finials at the top. In the same year, the small turret on the side towards the parochial residence was erected. The Church building is representative of the highest quality of the 19th century American Gothic Revival.
