 The Dorchester Town Hall, built in 1816, was located in Codman Square where the "Great Hall" is now. The Town Hall was replaced with the Codman Square branch of the Boston Public Library, the building that has now become the "Great Hall" and serves as office space for the Codman Square Health Center.
