How to use this site
When searching, avoid punctuation within your search term. Use "Upham" for example instead of "Upham's". When searching for a person, try just the last name as a search term.

When you type your search term in the box at the lower left of the screen, you will receive a list of responses that are displayed as thumbnail versions. The responses are of two types: page responses and image responses. Pages, which
are mostly text, display first automatically. You may move to the image responses by clicking on the image button.

Do not be disappointed if the response says that there are "No Matches Found for Pages." Click on the Images button to see if there are image responses to your query. As an exercise, type the word "Neponset" in the box and press the enter key or click on the "go" button.

Sources of information are noted within the site. Please check the original source to form your own opinions about Dorchester history and the accuracy of the data.
